Kashi’s docuslide still bothers me as it’s not the best technology for what they’re trying to achieve. Why not just use a vanilla PDF for this. I still don’t get what advantage slide rocket provided.

In both cases, you have slideware being used to convey far more information than slideware should be used to convey. With slideuments, these beasts are used in a presentation (where "real" slides should be used instead). With docuslides, they're being used as documents (where "real" documents should be used instead). Nice! I like it.
